Sweet September!
School is off to a GREAT start in the LTA 2 Dogwoods Classroom! This month we focused learning our rules and routines, getting to know our new friends and working on Academics. In Literacy we began our journey into Letter land with a primary focus on the letters, M, A, S and T. We read Literacy stories focused on rules and routines, practiced new sight words and answered comprehension questions. In Math we jumped right into number recognition and counting and practiced our skills in many different ways. In Science we focused on daily weather recognition and the concepts of grouping by big and small. We started our PE/Movement elective where we played group games and learned to hit a baseball! Library is in full swing and we enjoyed the parent volunteers who came to read to us and helped us pick out our very own books to take home for the week.
